Threadlifting with mesothreads

Lifting effect and skin revitalization without surgical intervention.

Suitable for:
Usually for people over 35-60
Duration
~45-90 min. according to areas and number of threads
Type of procedure
Minimally invasive, injectable, with local anesthesia
Zones of application
Mid and lower face, nose, neck and forehead to lift the eyebrows

Treadlifting with mesocones is non-operative facelift, in which special fine sutures are introduced into the skin and underlying tissues. They create mechanical support by lifting the sagging areas and stimulating the formation of new collagen.

The procedure is suitable for people whose facial oval is slightly sagging, have loss of volume in the mid-face, lack a clear lower jawline contour and desire improvement non-surgically.

What is treddling?

What is threadlifting?

Mesothreads are fine threads of biodegradable material (e.g. PDO, PLLA, etc.) that are placed under the skin along certain vectors.

They have two main roles:

  • Mechanical - immediately after insertion provide tissue lift in the desired direction.
  • Bio-stimulating - as the sutures break down, new collagen is formed in the area, which „holds“ the effect and improves skin texture.

The sutures resorb over time, but the collagen created remains for a longer period.

Who is the procedure suitable for?

  • When relaxing the facial oval
  • When the midface is hollow and unexpressed
  • For loose skin on the neck, (at the discretion of a doctor)
  • Looking for a visible facelift, but unwilling or not ready for surgery
  • You want longer lasting collagen stimulation, not just a filler.

Treadlifting is most effective for mild to moderate degrees of relaxation. For very large excess skin and fat deposits, a surgical approach may be more appropriate - this is discussed during the consultation.

What results should I expect?

  • You can usually see a visible lifting of certain areas immediately after the procedure - although there may be some slight swelling in the first few days.
  • In the following weeks and months, the second stage develops - the formation of new collagen around the sutures, which further tightens and seals the area.
  • The duration of the effect varies according to the number of stitches, the areas and individual characteristics, but can be approximately 12-24 months.
  • In some cases, a phased approach is planned - a certain number of threads first, with top-ups as needed after a few months.

The result of a treadlift is not like a surgical facelift, but with the right individual approach it can give a noticeable refreshment and lift, without hospital stay and without incisions.

How does the procedure work?

  1. Consult
During the consultation we must discuss the patient's general health, what medications he is taking, whether he has any allergies and previous procedures. We discuss what the expectations are and the changes desired by the patient, the location, number and type of sutures.

  2. Preparation and local anaesthesia
The skin is cleaned and disinfected. The injection is local anaesthetic  at the entry points and along the suture course to reduce discomfort during the procedure.

  3. Placement of the mesoconchs
The sutures are preloaded into fine needles or cannulas. The doctor introduces them under the skin along pre-planned vectors. You may feel pressure and slight stretching, but there should be no severe pain.

  4. Fixing and verification
After insertion, the sutures are fixed, the area is „modelled“ to achieve the desired lifting effect. The symmetry and contours are checked.

  5. Instructions for after the procedure
You receive detailed instructions on how to care for the treated area, what to avoid and when to come in for a check-up.

Recovery period and care

What should I expect after the procedure?

Normal reactions:

  • Swelling and a feeling of „stretching“ in the treated areas;
  • Discomfort and limitation of mimicry during the first few days.
  • Possible bruising/hematomas at the suture insertion sites.
  • When touched, you may feel „lines“ or small nodules that soften over time.

Recommendations:

  • Avoid strong facial expressions, wide mouth opening (e.g. very large bites), intense chewing in the first days after the procedure
  • Sleep if possible on the back during the first few nights, so as not to pinch one side of the face.
  • Avoid sauna, solarium and very high temperature for about 2 weeks.
  • Do not actively massage or press the area unless the doctor has given specific instructions.
  • It is desirable to stop the sport for about 10 days.

In most cases, visible signs (swelling, bruising) decrease significantly within a few days to a week, and the sensation of „stretching“ gradually weakens as the tissues adapt.

When is it not the right time for a thread lift?

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Active infections or inflammatory processes in the treated area
  • Severe bleeding disorders, intake of blood-thinning drugs, anti-inflammatory and antibiotics.
  • Severe, uncontrolled common diseases
  • A very pronounced excess of skin and adipose tissue in which surgical interventions are more appropriate.

Frequently Asked Question

What is the difference between threading and fillers?
Fillers fill in and add volume, while threads lift and tighten the skin. Often the two approaches are combined to achieve a more finished effect.
Is the procedure painful?
Due to the local anesthetic, most patients describe the procedure as unpleasant rather than painful - there is a feeling of pressure and stretching. A more sensitive period is in the early days after the procedure, when there may be mild swelling.
Will there be visible „ripples“ or threads under the skin?
In the early days, there may be slightly bumpy relief or small nodules. In most cases, these gradually disappear as the stitches „move in“ and the swelling goes down. If anything bothers you, you can always come in for a check-up.
Do I have to and how long do I have to stay home?
It depends on the individual reaction - some patients return to work after 2-3 days, while others prefer a week for more complete resolution of swelling and bruising. The doctor will give you a realistic prognosis for your case.
Can threading be combined with fillers, Botox and other procedures?
Yes, and this is often how the best results are achieved - for example, Botox for mimic wrinkles, volume filters and biostimulants or mesoconcs for firming. It's important to time the treatments - some are done before, others after the treadlift. This is specified in your individual plan.

What do we use?

What products do we work with?

We work with established products, that have clinical evidence of safety and effectiveness.

The type of mesoconks is selected according to your age, skin, area and goals.

Lead Fine Lift Barb 4D

Thanks to the divergent prongs arranged in 4 planes, the mesoconch is firmly fixed to the tissues on 4 sides and creates maximum tension.

Lead Fine Lift Anchor

The Anchor filament is the most advanced mesoconnectin combining atraumatic placement and maximum lifting effect. The effect of Anchor placement persists longer over time and is comparable to a surgical facelift.

Lead Fine Lift Classic

Classic mesoconcs that are used for skin biorevitalization, contouring and firming of various areas of the face and body.
