Liporeducers are Solutions, which are injected into the subcutaneous adipose tissue to activate the metabolism of the cells, thus fat depots are broken down. It also improves lymphatic drainage and fluid retention in the tissues. 

At Reflex Medical Center we use only biocompatible products that exist in the human body, but for one reason or another in places with fat deposits are insufficient, then the liporeducers come to the rescue.

The procedure is aimed at local fat deposits, cellulite and puffiness that are not sufficiently affected by diet and physical activity - for example, double chin, abdomen, thighs, knees, cheeks, etc.

This is not an alternative to a healthy diet or weight loss method, but fine correction and modeling of certain areas.

 

Who are lipo reducers suitable for?

A suitable candidate for Liporeducers is someone who:

  • Has clearly delineated local fat deposits
  • Wants to improve contour and shape  - e.g. clearer jaw, smoother abdomen-waist-hip transition, double chin, etc.
  • Noticeable bags under the eyes
  • Has realistic expectations - in centimeters and shape, not in kilograms

Not optimal if:

  • Looking for overall weight loss
  • You're not ready to keep score with a reasonable regimen.
  • You expect a „weight loss in 1 day“ type effect.

How does the area change and how long does the effect last?

  • After the procedure, the area is usually swollen, which can make it look larger initially - this is normal and temporary.
  • Real changes in girth and relief are seen gradually, usually after 4 weeks, when the body has processed the destroyed fat cells.
  • Most often a series of 2-3 treatments in one month is recommended (depending on the area, the amount of fatty tissue and the body's response).
  • At a stable weight, the result in the treated area can be long-lasting, since the destroyed fat cells do not „return“. However, if you gain significant weight, fat can accumulate again.

Liporeducers improve shape and lines - not the weight.

How does the procedure work?

  1. Consultation and assessment of the area
    The doctor examines and palpates the area, assesses the thickness of the fat layer, the condition of your skin and your general health. Expectations, number of treatments and possible alternatives are discussed.
  2. Marking and preparation
    The injection areas and points are noted. The skin is cleaned and disinfected. A numbing cream may be used if necessary.
  3. Injection of the Liporeducer
    A fine needle is used to make multiple small pricks at a precise depth in the fat layer. The amount of product is tailored to the area and your individual parameters.
  4. Brief observation and instructions
    After the procedure, you stay for a short observation. You will be given clear instructions for the first few days - what to expect, what to avoid and when to come in for your next procedure or check-up.

Recovery period and care

What should I expect after the procedure?

Normal reactions:

  • Pronounced edema in the treated area.
  • Redness and warming of the skin.
  • Sensitivity or mild pain on pressure.
  • Possible bruising and small seals.
  • In some patients - a feeling of „stiffness“ or „lumps“ in the first weeks.

Recommendations:

  • The first 24-48 hours of intense workouts, massages.
  • Do not visit the sauna, steam room, solarium and very hot treatments on the area in the first month.
  • Do not place cold compresses on the treated area 
  • Maintain good hydration.

If unusual symptoms appear - severe pain, change in skin color, general malaise - contact the doctor immediately.

When do we postpone the procedure?

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Severe liver or kidney disease
  • Uncontrolled chronic diseases
  • Active infection or inflammation in the treated area
  • Allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
  • Serious bleeding disorders/intake of certain medications
  • Very high total weight where lipo reducers will not give a visible or meaningful result

Frequently Asked Question

Will I lose weight from lipo reducers?
No. Liporeducers are not a weight loss method, they are a method to reduce fat in specific small areas. Results are measured in inches and shape rather than pounds.
How many treatments will I need?
It depends on the area and the amount of fatty tissue. Usually we are talking about 2-4 treatments spread over a month. The doctor will suggest a tentative plan after inspection and palpation of the area.
Is the procedure painful?
There is a short-term discomfort during the pricks and a more palpable sensation afterwards when the reaction in the tissue begins - a burning sensation, tightness and „pain like muscle fever“. If needed, a numbing cream is used and recommendations are given on how to deal with the discomfort at home.
Can the fat „go“ elsewhere?
The destroyed fat cells in the specific area are processed by the body. If you gain weight in the future, it can accumulate in different areas - including treated areas, but usually less where the fat cells have already been reduced.
Can I combine lipo reducers with other treatments?
Yes, we often combine them with other methods to tighten and improve the skin - for example, biostimulants, body mesotherapy, as well as dietary changes. The important thing is to have a clear plan and not to do too many things at the same time on the same area.
